Low in the High Tatras

Low in the High Tatras

Part of the Carpathian mountain range, the High Tatras are a natural border between Slovakia and Poland. A huge hiking attraction, trails vary greatly from beginner to highly demanding. The prime hiking season is June 15th through September.

We chose the hike to Green Lake (Zelené pleso) and Skok Waterfall, and began our trek like most do, in the city of Poprad - the gateway to the High Tatras. Options are endless, so you can make this journey whatever you’d like it to be.
